black cherry character and deep
rose color, making it an ideal
wine to serve after your holiday

Bay Dry Reisling, 2007:
extremely popular since its
release a few weeks ago, this is
an aromatic and piercing dry
white wine that pairs well with
anything from shellfish to
teriaki chicken.

W.I.N.O.S. Girls Night Out a success
There are plenty "Women In Need Of
Shopping" in the area, as evidenced by
the 200+ women who turned out for Satek
first-ever Girls Night Out. We opened
the production room to showcase 7
vendors, including Tastefully Simple,
The Pampered Chef, All About Me,
Mary Kay, Silpada Designs Jewelry,
Custom Designs by Lisa, and Longaberger
Baskets.
Ladies could sample wine and purchase by
the glass and bottle, mingle with
friends, shop casually through the
marketplace-style atmosphere, and
register to win prizes given away by the
vendors and the winery. We are in the
planning stages for our next W.I.N.O.S.
event, so watch your email for the
announcement of the date and time.

Wine shipping
guidelines for the holidays
If you are
planning to have your wine purchases
shipped to your gift recipients this
holiday season, be sure to check our
website for guidelines before placing
your order. We have the most up-to-date
information about which states we can
ship to, as well as deadlines for
shipping to guarantee Christmas
delivery. Remember there is a 3-bottle
minimum for shipping. If you are
shipping to an Indiana address, you must
first visit the winery in-person and
fill out a verification form to be kept
on file (this need be done only once and
then you can phone in future orders).
Note that current Indiana law prohibits

Fort Wayne
 Fort
Wayne area residents won't have
to drive very far to purchase
101 Lakes Red, now that Cap n'
Cork package stores are stocking
our most popular wine. We are
thrilled to be branching out
into Allen County, since our
customers can't seem to get
enough of this sweet concord
grape red wine.
Keep an eye out for Satek
Wines in your favorite local
restaurants as well. Fred
Barnes, Regional Sales Manager
for Vine2Wine, the wholesale
subsidiary of Satek Winery, is
in discussion with select Fort
Wayne restaurants to offer our

Blueberry Wine coming in time
for Thanksgiving
 The
much-awaited release of
our award-winning Blueberry Wine is
here! Beginning tomorrow, November
14, we will be adding Blueberry Wine
back to our list of offerings. This
year's seasonal fruit wine is more
complex than most fruit wines due to
skin contact during fermentation.
Initial tasters have noted clove and
nutmeg characters, to name a few.
This wine is as great for mulling as
it is for enjoying with your pumpkin
pie after a big turkey dinner. List
price $13.49/bottle. |
Fudge frenzy at a winery?
If you've visited Satek Winery
in the past several months, you
may know to what that headline
is referring. If not, treat
yourself to a visit soon to
experience the most decadent
treat you can imagine.
Selling out almost as fast as we
could get in each shipment, our
Old Vine Red Zinfandel Fudge
Sauce has created quite a
frenzy. Yes, it is a fudge
sauce made with our Red
Zinafandel, and yes, it is just
that good. Sample some along
with our Raspberry wine to
experience a flavor and texture
similar to a gourmet raspberry
truffle. Great for holiday gifts
(if you can bear to part with
it!), come in early to be sure
we haven't run out. And while
you're here, might as well get
yourself some too to embellish
your holiday desserts (although
I must confess, it's equally
good by the spoonful straight
from the jar). The Fudge Sauce
is made by Annette's Chocolate,
and sells for $12 for a
9-ounce jar.

 Since
mid-summer we have been
running a photo contest,
looking for photos showing
your enjoyment of Satek
Wines. We will display all
the entries on our website,
and will feature the winning
photograph in the next
edition of our
e-newsletter. Satek staff
will serve as judges
and pick their favorite.
The winner will receive a
$25 gift certificate. To
